PPS Pan Head screws are an ideal all round fastener for general applications requiring a high tensile strength.

Exceptional tensile strength and low rates of water absorption allow PPS screws to be applied to a wide range of applications.

HPP’s Pan Head screws are manufactured using injection moulding techniques. The moulds have been developed over decades to ensure quality threads and to minimise the gate residue (<5%) that occurs from plastic manufacturing processes.

Why use PPS?

PPS screws are reinforced with 40% glass fibre, this enables tensile strengths that are similar to our PEEK GF30 (30% glass-fibre reinforced) range, however with a much larger range of sizes and with reduced cost.

PPS has characteristics that are positioned perfectly between our RENY and PEEK range.

What are PPS Pan Head Screws?

PPS (polyphenylene oxide) is a type of high performance polymer that is known for its excellent chemical resistance, temperature resistance, and dimensional stability. A pan head screw is a type of fastener with a rounded head and a flat top, similar in shape to a cooking pan.

PPS pan head screws are therefore fasteners made of a PPS polymer, with a rounded head and a flat top. These screws may be used in applications where chemical resistance, temperature resistance, and dimensional stability are important, such as in the chemical processing and oil and gas industries. They may also be used in medical and surgical devices, as well as in consumer electronics and other high-tech applications. PPS pan head screws may be used to fasten parts together, such as in the assembly of machinery or equipment, or to secure parts in place, such as bearings and gears. They may be used in applications where a flush finish is desired, such as in the construction of aircraft or other high-tech products.
