Our lock washers, often called split washers, are a solid alloy and perfect for securing your on a and keeping that nut from backing off when under high tension or in environments with lots of vibration.
When used correctly, these lock washers will hold your nut in place due to the spring tension that they exert. They should go on directly underneath the nut, and on top of a as seen here on the left.
Alternatively, your lock washer could go directly underneath the head on a to keep that bolt from backing out.
