Prized not only for their aesthetic, square nuts have a larger amount of surface area in contact with whatever part is being fastened, and are far less likely to become rounded off after loosening and tightening repeatedly.
While square nuts are hard to find in any grade of stainless steel, we carry them in 316SS, one of the most corrosion resistant grades which is suitable for marine use in saltwater environments. The underlying 316 Stainless alloy and the passivation process will help to keep them corrosion free.
